The Hatter looked at his guest, which consisted of a broom, a mop, and a lamp, all comfortably seated at the table along with him, and began his speech. "Here ye here ye. The first biannual tea festival shall be in order." Silence. "I said order Mr. Kirby." He gave a warning eye at the vacuum not to far from the table, which wasn't on either. "Now as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted. Our biannual tea festival shall begin. If you would be so kind as to the giving of our last minutes Ms. Swiff." He refereed to the broom. "Aw, of course, of course what was I thinking? We haven't had any minutes yet. Thank You Ms. Swiff, and might I say you look lovely today." he smiled slyly. "Ah well. Then--" He was cut off by a very loud hissing signifying the tea was ready. "But first, we drink." He stood up, his multi-colored coat tail billowing out from under him as he began to pour each "individual" their tea. Seating himself after everyone had been served, this included a very grumpy Mr. Kirby, he passed around the sugar. "I do hope that we have more company soon, you are all so droll." He pointed out dunking what appeared to be a crumpet in his tea and then taking a bit. "But of course I didn't mean you Ms. Swiff." He said eying the broom once again.

Aw yes she knew this route well. Toward the Hatter's house she was headed for a little drop in. Of coarse she would be right on time for tea. Really she wondered if they ever slept! Just because all their watches and clocks were broken didn't mean that time really stopped did it? Well then again she never came here when it was dark or anything like that. After all these years she was still unable to completely figure out Wonderland. Even though it was her 'creation'

Alice opened the gate the yard with the long table of tea cups used and unused. She looked to see the Hatter at his normal seat when tea started, or restarted. She looked at the seats and saw all kinds or cleaning devices, and even one thing she didn't know of! Alice was about to open her mouth to say her greeting when Hatter addressed the broom and was eyeing it like she was a mortal woman. She thingyed a curious eyebrow at him and crossed her arms overs her chest.

Really Hatter I don't believe she's into you.

Alice said this with a mocking smirk.

The Hatter glanced up, his hat brim almost completely obscuring his eyes. A devious smirk over took his features, making him appear a tad creepy. "Well, she spends most of her time looking my way--" But he stopped in his sentence when he realized whom he was addressing. "Alice my dear!" He said literally jumping out of his seat and going to the matured blonde. "How long has it been? I'd know but all of clocks have taken a time out." He said grinning almost dopely. "Come come sit. I'm sure Mr. Kirby would very much enjoy you're company!" He told he ushering her to a seat beside the vacuum. His voice dropped to a low whisper, and bent over to the girl's ear. "But between you and me, I think he's got a thing for Ms. Swiff." He pointed his thumb towards the broom. No matter how much time Hatter didn't seem to mind whoever stopped by his residence, Alice was one of his all time favourite tea guest. Taking a sip of his tea, and then a bite of his plate he took his seat again. "My my, you look so skinny, where is May Rabbit with that unbirthday cake?!" He asked rushing into the house, and then the kitchen, though he had forgotten both Dormouse and March Hair had gone out to The Queens Court. "Oh well." he said coming back outside, he handed her some of the plate he'd yet to eat from. "Bite?" He asked before chomping into the china saucer again.

Alice rolled her eyes when he said that the broom had been looking his way. No one took to immanent objects as the Hatter did, maybe the Tweedle Twins but that still wasn't saying much. She smiled however when he finally noticed who it was. Well he did seem enthused to see her, but of coarse there was never really a calm moment with him.

Time need to rest to I suppose.

She said and took the seat offered to her next to the vacuum. A fairly new invention. A wonder how he came upon one. She smoothed out her dress and looked at the cleaning items when he spoke of how Mr. Kirby was doted with Ms.Swiff.

I think they'd make a lovely couple.

Alice whispered back. It surely would have been rude to say such a thing out loud. Even though they couldn't hear her, she humored the Hatter. She raised her eyebrows when he commented on her figure, this made her smooth her dress again but she didn't reply and let him run to find his companions. When he returned with no cake or friend she supposed that the March Hare ran off somewhere with the Dormouse.

I've already eaten.

She said waving off the offer of a plate. Alice did wonder if it would do any harm to her since this was a turned around world, but she hasn't been able to bring herself to try.

I suppose it has been a little while since my last visit.

"To right you are my dear." He said after finishing off his platelet. He rested his elbows on the table, and then plsced his head on his hands, leaning forward; as if waiting for something. A sort of silence fell over the two living beings, till he finally inclinded his head towards the teapot. "Well...." He drug the word out, a little too long. "Aren't you going to pour the tea my Dear? So much time away surely hasn't muddled your manners." He leaned back in his chair taking another sip of his rapidly cooling tea. "And whilst pouring, do tell what you've been up to this long period of absence." He stated, not asked, all the while it was still polite.

As the silence fell over the table she glanced at the Hatter curiously when he just sat there like waiting for something to happen. Well this was odd because usually there was always words coming from someones mouth. Of coarse then he said that she should pour the tea and it made sense to her. So at least he wasn't himself today liked she had thought a few moments again. She sighed standing up and reaching for the tea pot.

Pardon I guess I have forgotten a few.

Alice said this and waited for him to finished sipping at his tea so she could our more into his before her own.

Well I had some duty's in another world like this. And I went home for some time.

"It is quite alright." He informed her while setting his teacup down to receive more of the herbal liquid. He smiled. "But I have missed you so, unbirthdays just don't seem to happen as often." He dunked a near by item into his tea and ate it. "Come to think of it, we haven't had any since you left." A sly smile spread across his face. "Buuuut." He paused lifting his green hat, a birthday cake underneath. "That can be remedied quickly." Placing the cake in front of Alice he began. "A very merry unbirthday to you..." When he finished a large grin was plastered on his face, as he sipped from his tea again nonchalantly. "So my dear, what is it that you want for your unbirhtday?"

Alice thingyed an eyebrow when he said that they hadn't been having unbirthdays. That was quite a strange thing to hear. What in the world had the Hatter and March Rabbit been doing then? It seemed that all they ever had was tea, cake, and plates. She took a sip of her tea, and let out a little sigh glad to have a small refreshment.

I've missed in three in a sort also but, thats ridiculous to have stopped having unbirthday party's on account of me.

Surely she couldn't have been the life of a party with the Hatter and Rabbit around. Alice looked suspiciously at him for his sly little look until he lifted his hat to reveal a cake. She blinked a few times wondering how he was able to keep it nicely kept under there. She swayed a little at him singing the song. she had missed it a little but only a little.

Alice clapped her hands when he had finished. When he asked what she wanted she merely shook her head.

It's your unbirthday also I would think, and I have nothing to give you in return.

Hatta's sly smile only stayed. "It wasn't that you weren't here, it's that March Hare and myself lost track of the time, why just yesterday did I realize how much time had passed since we'd had one. You coming here was the perfect opportunity to do so." He smiled more widely, in a fashion only thought possible by the Chesire cat. "You're right." He said realizing it was his own unbirthday. "Okay then, I wish that we had more crumpets, I seem to have eaten them all." He smiled, but then it turned to a frown. "I can quite anytime I want Ms. Swiff." He said indigently to the mocking broom.

Time and dates are completely different things aren't they?

Alice asked tilted her head to the side. Oh well it didn't matter if there was one or not around here. It was just curious because they stopped because they didn't know what time it was. She smiled at his reliezation that it was also his unbirthday. He was a little out of sorts today. Maybe he didn't need to be left behind.

Well you mustn't let Ms.Swiff ruin you fun. Do you have any in the house?

She asked standni up again ready to go fetch some.

"I wonder if we do indeed." He began then a sudden realization hit him and in a flurry he knocked all the inamate objects from their seats as he moved down seat after seat. "Clean cup my dear clean cup!" He shouted lifting his hat to reveal a boiling cuppa. "Now what was that? Something about my hat?" Asked the very forgetful Mad Hatter.
